Introduction

Hello, I’m Mikhail Filimonau – an experienced iOS Developer with over 6 years in mobile development. I specialize in crafting clear, maintainable, and innovative apps using Swift, SwiftUI, and Objective-C.

My Journey

My story isn’t conventional. Until 2018, I worked as an IT Deputy Director, automating restaurant operations and handling engineering tasks at Guscom Software & Consulting. But deep down, I always dreamed of not just implementing ready-made solutions, but creating something truly my own.

Everything changed when I stumbled upon an article with the intriguing title “Swift – Programming with a Mouse.” That headline grabbed me so much that I decided to learn how to build iOS apps. Imagine this: I’d never owned a MacBook or an iPhone, yet I installed Hackintosh on my Acer and, armed with Alex Skutarenko’s YouTube lessons, I dove headfirst into the world of Swift! Later, I successfully completed an internship at VironIT and became an iOS developer. 🙂

My first major challenge was a project for the insurance company Belrosstrah. Two months of 12+ hour workdays, tight deadlines, and a wealth of new knowledge – but thanks to the support of a great mentor and a friendly team, I managed to overcome it and gained my first real development experience.

After that, I joined the teams at Priorbank and LifeTech, contributing to large-scale projects like Priorbank Busuness and BiP Messenger. These experiences taught me how to work in international teams and never give up in the face of challenges – always seeing tasks through to the end. I’m still working at LifeTech today.

In 2025, feeling the call of innovation, I decided to explore artificial intelligence and create my own app, TextLift AI. This new challenge became a true source of inspiration and proved that it’s never too late to learn and try something new.

I believe that technology can not only solve problems but also inspire creativity. I’m always excited to discuss new ideas and bring them to life together!

I believe that great software should not only work flawlessly but also be intuitive and accessible. My focus on clean code, modern design patterns (such as MVVM and Coordinator), and a user-first approach means that every app I create is built to deliver a seamless experience. I’m also passionate about leveraging emerging technologies like AI to transform everyday tasks into effortless experiences — as seen in TextLift AI.
